Owing to its success and expansion last year as a result of the immense interest which the students had shown in current political, social and cultural issues concerning Cyprus and the rest of the globe, the Current Affairs Society will be enjoying the participation of students for a second year successively. Visits will be organized, lectures will be given and documentaries will be screened throughout the year which will make students more attentive and responsive to the world around them and sensitive to issues of political importance whether it directly or indirectly relates to or affects their own lives.

The first visit which has been organized together with the members of the Informer for this year is a visit to Politis newspaper, supervised by Ms Maria Chrysanthou, on Wednesday, October 19 th.

The second event which is being organized is a lecture on Nazi Germany by Dr Hubert Faustman, on 4th November at 18:30.
