Students of the Music Society of our School participated on 24th October 2005 , in a bi-communal music project in which children from both north and south Nicosia collaborated. La Vie sur Terre and Dutch composer Merlijn Twaalfhoven organized the project Long Distance Call for the occasion of the 60 th anniversary of the United Nations.

Students and professional musicians from the north and the south simultaneously performed a music piece on both sides of the Green Line, and made a bridge of sound to the other side.

The objective of this project was to enhance the awareness of the similarities of the both cultures and to establish a positive communication without words or politics.
