The Futsal grounds of the G C School of Careers, hosted on Tuesday, 25th October a Futsal Tournament between students of the G C School of Careers and members of the Strovolos Community Policing.

Four groups participated in the Tournament. The Police Team v The Girls’ Team, with the Police Team trouncing the girls 6–2. The winning team of the GC School Boys’ Teams played against the Police and gained a revenge win with a score of 6-4.

The tournament was organized by the Interact Society of the School, the aim of which is to cultivate a sense of civic consciousness. It was one of a series of events aiming at encouraging our youth towards beneficial pastimes, away from addictive substances or anti-social activities.

During the event, police officers and students had the opportunity to socialize and exchange views in a pleasant, friendly environment, which is conducive to the creation of strong relationships based on mutual understanding and respect.
