“We declare that we will take part in these Games in the spirit of true sportsmanship…” They all recited the ‘athlete's oath' before the commencement of any of the sports events; then, they pushed and pulled each other during the race, yelled at their classmates when the latter didn't win the gold medal in the relay and argued with the teacher in charge of long jump for not holding the measuring tape properly. It all happened on Sports Day at the Makarios Stadium. I'm sure it all happened in ‘the spirit of true sportsmanship'!
