INFORMATION ABOUT GCE EXAMS
IMPORTANT DATES

Upon receipt of your statement of results for the GCE AS and AL, you must inform the school only if you do not wish to keep your grade, in case that a grade has been awarded. Form JCQ/DECL must be duly completed signed and returned to the School by 7 September 2007 so that the grade awarded can be declined. After this date a fee will be applied and after the next examination session has passed (January 2008) any requests to decline grades will generally by refused. As a result all six units must be taken to improve your grade.

Candidates who wish to retake units during the January 2008 examination session must make their registrations by 7 September 2007 .

If you believe that your performance in a particular unit is above the grade you obtained for that unit, you must fill in the Enquiries about Results form by 7 September 2007. You must be aware that there are three possible outcomes:
- Your original mark is confirmed as correct and there is no change to your grade.
- Your original mark is raised, so your final grade may be higher than the original grade you received.
- Your original mark is lowered, so that your final grade may be lower than the original grade you received.

Late entries for the January 2008 examination session can be made by 15 November 2007. (Double fee)

Enquiries about Results for January 2008 results must be made by 25 April 2008.

Registrations for the summer 2008 examination session must be made by 30 November 2007. Late entries for this session can be made by 10 February 2008 (Double fee).

All projects are due by 15 April 2008.
Provisional entries for AS and A Level units are available in the May/June 2008 examination session only. Inserting “P” indicates that the sam e unit(s) taken in the January 2008 will be retaken in the May/June 2008 examination session. If you are satisfied with your January 2008 unit(s) result your Provisional entry for the May/June 2008 will be cancelled upon receipt of a written confirmation by 21 March 2008 and the fee will be returned to you.
Candidates taking Applied ICT must make registrations for summer 2008 examination session by 7 September 2007 .
In order to get an award for an AS and A level the Cash in code has to be included as part of the entry in addition to the unit code.
