The Students' Council consists of all the Form
Presidents of the School. Form Presidents are
elected by the students of each form, which usually
consist of about 26 students. This prestigious
elected appointment helps in the development of
a number of key skills. The role of the Form Presidents
is to communicate with and advise the students
of their form on matters relating to order and
compliance with School Regulations. They also
liaise with their Form Teacher on academic matters.
In addition to their Form Duties, each member
of the Council is allocated other general duties.
They advise or arbitrate on matters of maintaining
order and enforcing School Regulations during
breaks, assemblies, events and other activities.
They are also responsible for the organization
of events, the setting up of exhibitions and they
represent the students on matters concerning form
problems. The role and duties of the Form Presidents
are defined in the Students' Council Constitution.
The Students' Council is divided into the Upper
Students' Council consisting of the Form Presidents
of Forms 4-7, and the Lower Students' Council
consisting of the Form Presidents of Forms 1-3.
The Head Form President of the Upper Students'
Council will be a 7th Former elected by all the
Presidents of Forms
4-7. The Head Form President of the Lower Students'
Council will be a
3rd Former elected by all the Presidents of the
Lower Forms 1-3.
Both Councils hold meetings at regular intervals
and keep minutes of such meetings. A copy of the
minutes is submitted to the Principal and the
Co-ordinator of Form Teachers.
