   The Teaching Staff

Teaching Standards

Our School recruits highly talented, motivated and professional individuals with outstanding levels of ability and expertise, who strive to ensure our students' success in all areas of school life. Most of the teachers of the School are graduates of top British, US or other European English-speaking Universities. The majority of the teachers are holders of a Master's or a PhD Degree and many of them are permanent members of Staff.

The lessons are designed in such a way as to enable students to develop analytical, numerical, IT, problem-solving, written and oral communication skills and a correct work ethic. The School encourages students to recognize and develop these key skills from an early stage and relate them to their school needs.

Evaluation and Development

The work of all Teaching Staff concerning all fields conducive to teaching is closely monitored by the appropriate Heads of Departments and School Management.

The personal development of the Teaching Staff enables the School to make the best possible use of the strengths of each individual teacher, and enhances the effectiveness of each teacher to the maximum so that the students will be offered the best teaching and support.

This is achieved through guidance by the Principal or Vice Principal and/or relevant Head of Department, and by attendance of internal or external seminars in Cyprus or abroad. The responsibility for contacts with outside bodies and professionals, and the organisation of seminars lies with the Staff Development Committee.

External Examination Results

The Teaching Staff is also evaluated through their students' external examination results. The external examination results have been outstanding for many years, with many of the subjects attaining 100% success pass rates with excellent quality.
