Theodoulos Ttelias (Form 6) recently represented the G C School and Cyprus at the 19th International Geography Olympiad (iGeo) held in Bandung, Indonesia. The city of Bandung, under the auspices of the iGeo Task Force, hosted 180 geography students aged 16-19 from 45 countries. The competition involved a team poster presentation with the title “Creative Cities for Designing Inclusive Urban Communities, as well as individual tests which included a challenging fieldwork exercise in a unique and unknown environment near the city of Bandung. The trip also gave the participants the opportunity to explore the diverse physical and human geography of this beautiful country, from active volcanoes to the rich music and Javanese culture. Well done Theodoulos for earning a place in this competition and for your excellent participation throughout.
