The members of the Maths Club visited the University of Cyprus to attend a presentation on biobank.cy. They learned about DNA, the importance of volunteerism in research and took part in a DNA Lab workshop, in which they worked on their own DNA.

World Kindness Day

In honor of World Kindness Day, the Psychology Department at The GC School of Careers decided to collect items (e.g., food and blankets) to donate to a local animal shelter. A big thank you to all students and parents for their kind contributions!

Visit to Ant1 Radio

On Thursday, 24 November, members of the PR Society visited Ant1 Radio to meet with radio producers and experience the day-to-day procedures in a radio station. The manager of Ant1 Radio, Mr Nektarios Vilanides, talked to the students about media in general and how one can become a radio producer.

Geography field trip

Form 5 Geography students successfully completed their fieldwork investigations in the Paphos region between 21-23 November. The lessons which were given by the Cyprus Environmental Study Centre – Terra Cypria, covered both the Urban and Coastal Fieldwork components of their IGCSE exams.

Sponsor a Child Program

Last year’s 3rd form Geography students participated in the Rhea Foundation’s Sponsor a Child Program. Our students sponsored Juliana, Mburisi, Zawadi, Elisha and Loishorwa from the Lomiyon community in Tanzania, who were in need of financial support for their basic needs.
