During the recent Red Ribbon Week, The G C School of Careers had the privilege of hosting DEA agents from the U.S. Embassy in Cyprus. This important initiative aimed to educate students about the dangers of drug abuse, emphasizing that even one pill can have fatal consequences.
The agents delivered a powerful presentation, highlighting real-life stories and tragic outcomes experienced by young people who unknowingly consumed dangerous substances. Through compelling videos and testimonials, students learned about the realities of drug addiction and the devastating impact it can have on individuals and their families.
The visit reinforced essential lessons about making safe choices and the importance of saying “no” to drugs. The DEA agents encouraged students to be proactive in protecting themselves and their peers from the dangers of drug abuse.
We commend the efforts of the DEA and thank them for their impactful message. This Red Ribbon Week initiative serves as a reminder that we all play a part in promoting a safe and healthy environment for everyone.
