Form 6 students and students of the Maths School successfully participate at the EUROMATH 2019 student conference held in Paphos. The students present their work and attend workshops leaving the best impressions for their presentation, organisation and communication skills. The GCS project ‘Back to the Future’ by Theseas Socratous of Form 3 (Maths School) is awarded the 3rd prize in the SCIENCE-Factor competition, and the project ‘Goal Impossible’ by Stylianos Fatouros, Yiannis Ioannou, Christos Leonidou and Anastasios Nicolaou (Maths School) is awarded the 2nd prize in the EUROSCIENCE competition.

The following two projects will be presented in the EUROSCIENCE Conference: “Goal impossible” – Yiannis Ioannou, Anastasis Nicolaou, Chris Leonidou and Stylianos Fatouros (Maths School), and “Before the alarm goes off” – Tereza Michael (Maths School). In addition to the above projects, the following MATHFactor/MATHPoster entries will compete in the conference: “Type I and Type II error” – Sofronia Samouti and “Infinity” – Theseas Socratous (Maths School).
