Having won the Pancyprian prize in the competition conducted by the Ministry of Education Sport and Culture, the GC School students Ioanna Georgiadi, Marcia Mourouzidou, Antonis Hadjipanayis, Margarita Stylianidou and Leda Hadjipanayi, represented the Republic of Cyprus in the International English Language Olympiad held in Jordan 11-13 May, 2023.  The Ministry of Cyprus was represented by Dr. Katerina Konstantinidou Vladimirou, whom we sincerely thank for her support.

The topic of this year’s Olympiad was Social Media.  The standard of our students’ work, earned Cyprus The First International Prize in Theatrical Performance.  Our students were inspired by the reality of the modern world, and composed the plot and script for a play they performed in Jordan called #BeReal, portraying emotionally vulnerable teenagers exposed to a number of threats on social media.  Congratulations to all for making our school and country proud!
