In its effort to challenge its students, to inspire their scientific drive, as well as to allow them the freedom to be creative, the Science Club featured projects conceived and developed by the student themselves. The 21 students who participated in this effort researched and constructed a set of 9 projects which showcased innovative, real-world applications of one or more of the Natural Sciences, from cutting-edge DNA research to Nobel-winning inventions. The Science Club culminated on Tuesday, 27 February 2024, via an in-house event where students delivered presentations of their projects. As these will also represent the school in the Euroscience competition, taking place in Rome on 13-16 March 2024, the Science-Club event was an opportunity to rehearse the presentations and offer feedback to the students.
The event was attended by the students’ parents and the school administration, who had a chance to see first-hand just how advanced and thorough the research and work dedicated to the projects were. Consequently, our students are fervently putting the finishing touches on their projects, and their respective presentations, to present a strong team at Euroscience!
